Ghost Town, Art, and Coffee!
This place is definitely on our list and pinned on our map! Visiting the town of Pioche is like stepping into the past. The community of roughly 1,000 people still resembles the "rough and tumble" town that it was during its mining days.
There's plenty to explore throughout Pioche, but be sure to stop by Ghost Town Art & Coffee Co. for a little pick-me-up before your adventures. This cafe is a true hidden gem and you'll definitely be glad you stopped by.
You'll be blown away as soon as you step through the doors. What looks to be a small metal shack on the outside is actually a beautiful little cafe on the inside. Like many of the structures in Pioche, the building itself has a long history. It was originally built in 1865 as a blacksmith's shop.
It's hard to pinpoint exactly how to categorize this place. It calls itself a coffee shop, but it could also be considered an art gallery. The walls are decked out with unique pieces of artwork along with artifacts from the desert.
If you're a hard rock fan, you'll be pleased to know that one of the owners of this shop is Kelly Garni who founded the band Quiet Riot. How crazy is that? Garni moved to Pioche with his partner in 2015, and the two opened this great shop as a result.
